Military Family Resources  

The Purple Star School Program recognizes School Districts and Individual Schools that demonstrate a major commitment to serving students and families connected to our Nation’s Armed Forces. The frequent relocations required of military personnel mean that military-connected students often face unique challenges during their school career. As students transition between schools, these students must adapt to varying cultures, school populations, curricula and course standards, and graduation requirements.

At West Haven Elementary, we proudly support military families and their children. We understand the unique challenges and sacrifices that come with serving our country, and we are committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for all students. We care about your students and have a designated military families liason to ensure your family has access to the resources you need.
