My name is Mrs. Geisler, and I am the new principal at West Haven. I am honored and excited to be joining you as a West Haven Hawk! It is a privilege to work in such a beautiful community. I look forward to working with the students, parents, and our teachers.

I love the world of education! I had the opportunity to teach in multiple grade levels over the course of 9 years. I have taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grades- two of those years were in an immersion classroom. As a teacher, I learned a lot about blended learning and technology integration. I tried to find meaningful ways to enhance learning with technology and enjoyed the engagement it brought to students.

I went back to school and received my Masters in Instructional Leadership and became an assistant principal in Davis School District. I was in this position for four years. There are moments that I miss teaching in the classroom, but I love being able to support teachers and parents as we work to create meaningful educational opportunities for our students. Working with children is a rewarding experience and one that I do not take for granted.

I have a wonderful, supportive family. We are a blended family and have six children between the two of us. They range in age from nine to thirty and keep life busy and exciting. We like to go hiking, skiing, camping, and find new places to explore. My kids are the reason I have continued my career and launched into administration. I want to be an advocate and create a safe and inspiring learning environment.

I'm looking forward to working with all our students and families in our community!
